Orion Harris holds a masters in counseling psychology, with a focus in expressive arts therapy, from California Institute of Integral Studies. He is currently an experiential mentor/marriage and family therapy intern with Coyote Coast where he works with young men in the outdoors. He has several years of experience working with diverse populations of youth, from residential settings to elementary and high school.
After getting his bachelors in Religious Studies, Orion spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Central Asia teaching preventative health care and running camps and clubs with Turkmen and Russian youth. He has traveled and lived in various countries, primarily in Asia, and has been a meditation practitioner since his early teens. Growing up in the mountains of Northern California, he spent much time playing and exploring the wilderness or cultivating his various artistic talents.
Orion has been involved with a local sweat-lodge ceremony community for several years, as well as done personal growth work in eco-therapy programs. He is a musician, artist, poet, and teacher. He brings his calm soulful presence, love of the wild, and passion for encouraging creativity with those he serves.
