Anna Swisher, M.A., is an avid nature lover and adolescent ambassador dedicated to supporting and fostering compassionate, self-aware, resourceful, empowered young women who are equipped to participate in making the world a more beautiful place.  She is strongly driven to help provide young girls with the inner resources and tools to find and express their authentic self, to listen to their body and their intuition, find their voice, and to navigate the challenges of adolescence with self-love, clarity, integrity, and compassion.

Anna is a certified Yoga Teacher who holds an M.A. in East-West Psychology, and is trained in Somatic Ecotherapy, Yoga Therapy, Mindfulness Education, conscious transformative movement, and adolescent psychology.  Through her studies she developed a passion for nature-based, body-centered approaches, and through her life has developed an affinity for adolescents.  Beginning in her home state of NC, she has helped design, organize and facilitate outdoor and indoor programs for adolescents for nearly a decade, led hikes and camping trips, taught yoga and meditation to youth and adults, and helped develop programs for mindfulness education in schools.

In addition to working with Stepping Stones, Anna teaches yoga, meditation, and nature reconnection in the bay area, and leads women’s groups, rituals, and transformative workshops in nature.  She works to build sustainable and joyful community, frolics in rivers and forests, and dances as much as she can!  She is passionate about using the natural wisdom of the body and the Earth to connect with the truest sense of self, and is really fired up about working with girls and women as a guide and mentor for discovering the intuitive wisdom and creative fire within.
