Laurie Margaritonda is a rites of passage guide and therapist devoted to helping individuals live into their fullest human potential for personal and planetary thriving.  She graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies in May 2015, with a doctorate in clinical psychology, and her dissertation focused on ecological healing, in particular, its psychological and spiritual dimensions.  She also holds a masters in clinical social work with an emphasis on youth and families.  She is currently in practice as a psychological assistant working with adults and teens, and training in mindfulness and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Laurie has been a member of the Stepping Stones community for many years and has led three groups, one of which is continuing into high school.  She is also a Leader Mentor, Training Manager, and Vision Council member.  Being a part of an organization that honors the spirit of the village and aims to restore rites of passage to the culture is an honor and blessing.  Laurie is committed to practices that reconnect oneself to the sacred essence of life, including yoga, meditation, dance, ritual, and deep nature time.  She aspires to live intentionally and to consciously engage the world in a way that is creative, healing, and loving.
