Madhavi Rathod has devoted much of her life to volunteer and philanthropic activity, striving to uplift humanity and nurture the human spirit. She has run a NGO in India, Prasad Chikitsa, which provides humanitarian and medical relief services to rural communities.

Madhavi has a M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing, along with a B.S. in Marketing.  She considers herself a life-time learner and has studied many topics including Eastern philosophy, Ayurvedic medicine, Reiki, classical Indian music, and ancient astrology.   She has also served as a college professor.

Born in India, Madhavi grew up in Chicago.  She finally escaped the cold and moved to the Bay area seven years ago.  She currently serves as a board member for Samavesha, the East Bay based community performing arts organization.  She works as a freelance writer / editor and has a holistic consulting practice.  In her practice, she assists individuals in achieving their optimal well-being.

In her free time, Madhavi enjoys exploring the glorious nature spots which California has to offer. She is also a devoted aunt to many children and teens, who are both biologically related and unrelated.  She realizes the inherent wisdom which younger generations carry and the auspicious responsibility which adults have to nurture their spirits.
