Phil has extensive experience guiding and mentoring a wide variety of youth and young adults in a therapeutic setting. With the ability to connect and build rapport with people from many walks of life, Phil strives to provide a safe space for these individuals to grow and adapt to the challenges of life. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University.
Throughout college, Phil spent his summers guiding backpacking trips in the mountains of Southern/Central Colorado. This eventually led him to Bend, Oregon to pursue a career in wilderness therapy. After serving as a Lead Field Instructor and Transition Coach, Phil developed the skill set to work alongside at-risk youth through their therapeutic process in a way that empowered individuals and promoted lasting change. Over the years of working in a therapeutic setting, Phil has recognized the impact that consistent mentoring has on an individual’s capability to reach their goals, and is excited to bring his experience to Stepping Stones.
